This play by the UCL Drama Society and UCLU Stage Crew was an extremely strange one. All In One begins in 1982, when Captain Birdseye is at the height of his popularity. New boy Phil finds himself fast-tracked into the Captain’s management scheme, and the short play follows his relationship with the Captain’s daughter, Mel.
At its heart the play is about the changing Captain Birdseye adverts over the years, which every Brit of a certain age will be familiar with. Remember the terrible ads with the ‘young and hot’ Captain Birdseye? This bizarre play is full of student humour but I enjoyed it nevertheless.
