CTRL: The Virtual Reality Immersive Experience

I thought this show sounded rather intriguing, so I decided to give it a go. CTRL is billed as a ‘Virtual Reality Immersive Experience’, and when you enter you sit in the space (the Club Theatre at RADA) and put on a VR headset. The show follows a teenage boy, Liam, who is competing in an online tournament hoping to win a cash prize. As the show goes on, you realise that the stakes are higher than previously imagined, and reality and fantasy start to blend.

Written by Abraham Parker and designed by Breaking Fourth, it’s an interesting premise, and pretty unique as far as I can tell. If anything, I thought it was a bit short and would have liked to go into more depth. An unusual but enjoyable experience.
