Her Naked Skin is a play by Rebecca Lenkiewicz that premiered at the National Theatre. I attended an amateur production at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre. The play is about the relationship that develops between two women against the backdrop of the women’s suffrage campaign of the early twentieth century.
Directed by Katie Henry, this was a well-acted, engrossing play with standout performances from the two leads, Abigail Ribbans as the working-class campaigner Eve Douglas and Elizabeth Stretton as her upper-class counterpart Celia Cain. Well worth seeing.
