The Vikings at Helgeland

The Vikings at Helgeland is a little-known play by Ibsen, which was performed at the Drayton Arms Theatre. It’s a powerful mythological drama, drawing on Norse tales, with strong characters, particularly that of the vengeful Hjordis. With clever use of sets and shadowplay, I found it a high quality production.
