The Thinking Drinker’s Guide to Alcohol

It’s not a bad idea. Produce a comedy show and get the audience drunk in order to ensure a positive reception. However, The Thinking Drinker’s Guide to Alcohol was genuinely entertaining, and I’m not just saying that because of the free booze.

Ben McFarland and Tom Sandham took the audience on a journey through history as it relates to drink. Through the night we were handed alcohol to sip, including beer, whisky, gin and even absinthe. We learned several interesting facts relating to booze, including the origins of the word ‘teetotal’, the supposed role of absinthe in influencing a French farmer to commit murder, and the influence alcohol has on the creative mind. My friends and I had a really good time at this show that was both enlightening and funny.
